Announcing the Community Arts Series

ECCA announces a new Community Arts Series, featuring accomplished local and regional artists. The focus for the 2009-2010 series is creativity, inspiration, and the creative process. Demonstrations, presentations, and discussions will cover a wide range of arts topics and mediums, from visual arts to performing and literary arts.

The series will kick off on Tuesday September 15th with an oil painting and pastel demonstration by Robin Thornhill. Other artists in the series will include painters Rose Bryant and Heather Karp, story tellers Vandy Duffy and Andrea Lovett, sculptor Joe Montroy, and humorist, writer, and story teller Rebecca Rule.

All of the events in the Community Arts Series are open to the public and free of charge. They will run on the third Tuesday of every month, 6-8pm, and most will take place at ECCA, 30 Linden Street, Exeter, in the Tuck Learning Campus. A complete schedule of events can be found in ECCA’s brochure. Registration is requested.

2009 Art in the Garden Tour

Our first annual Art in the Garden Tour was a great success and huge fun. The tour featured nine of Exeter's most beautiful gardens and a half dozen area sculptors, ceramic artists, and woodworkers. ECCA wants to thank the sponsors and supporters of this event - Churchill's Gardent Center, Accent Magazine, Kathy Pottle & Squamscott Press. We would also like to thank the many volunteers who helped the tour to run smoothly, greeted visiters at each garden, and kept everyone's energies up with their enthusiasm.

We are already planning for next year's tour!
